Tragic Incident: Elephant Fatally Injured Attempting to Cross Railway Fence; Rescue Efforts Prove Unsuccessful
In a heart-wrenching incident near Nagarhole, a majestic elephant lost its life while attempting to cross a railway fence. The fence, which had been erected to prevent wildlife from straying onto railway tracks, proved to be a deadly trap for the hapless animal.
According to reports, the elephant was trying to make its way to the other side of the fence when it got entangled in the wires. Despite its best efforts, the animal couldn’t break free and was left stuck, helpless and injured.
Forest officials were immediately notified and a rescue operation was launched to save the distressed elephant. However, despite their best efforts and the use of heavy machinery to cut through the fence, the elephant succumbed to its injuries, leaving behind a trail of grief and sadness.
