Upon closer inspection, they discovered that the poor dog was malnourished, exhausted, and had a tick stuck to its eye. Everyone immediately sprang into action, using their oars as shoes to dig through the deep, slimy mud. Despite sinking up to their knees, the group remained committed to their rescue mission.
