It is very sad to see many cases of abandoned dogs, cats and other animals. They throw them like garbage on the side of the road, tie them to a tree, and sometimes even worse. That’s why we’re happy to read animal stories with happy endings.

Goran Marinkovic is a kind man who often feeds and cares for stray animals in Kraljevo, Serbia. Currently, he is feeding around 100 cats and dogs. “I feed animals abandoned on the street that do not receive food from humans and have no owners. Their numbers are constantly increasing,” Goran shared.

In March 2020, when he went to visit them, he came across a small puppy sleeping next to a shoe. The little dog lived near a pile of garbage, using an old boot as shelter. Goran noticed that the cub was cold, hungry and thirsty, so he gave it something to eat.

He looked around but couldn’t find any other dogs. So he decided to take the puppy home. He named her Smesten and he was determined to help her become a healthy and happy dog.
