A construction crew stumbled upon an unexpected find near Canary Wharf, London, when they uncovered what appeared to be a small puppy buried at the base of a hill under layers of dirt and fragments of plastic. Sue Schwar, the hospital’s manager, commented, “It would have met a rather horrific fate if it hadn’t been found; it was quite frail and in poor condition, but is doing well now. He had been completely covered in mud and was truly terrified, and we felt quite sorry for him.”
