Elephant Rescue Operation: Dedicated veterinarians go the extra mile to save a paralyzed elephant trapped in a pond within the confines of the zoo.

Noor Jehan, a 17-year-old African elephant residing in Karachi Zoo, Pakistan, became trapped in a pond after receiving treatment for her partially paralyzed hind legs. Unfortunately, this occurred amidst a series of health issues Noor Jehan has been grappling with, including arthritis.

A team of veterinarians from the animal welfare organization Four Paws, along with local zoo staff, worked tirelessly to save Noor Jehan’s life. However, the elephant remains unable to stand up due to weakness and trauma.

Four Paws recently visited the zoo to conduct tests and ultrasounds on Noor Jehan after a video of her struggling to stand went viral on social media. The elephant was brought to Pakistan in 2009 with three other elephants after being caught in Tanzania by an animal trader.

Recently, animal rights activists successfully moved Kaavan, the “world’s loneliest elephant,” from Pakistan to Cambodia after a long campaign.
