The poor mother dog and her cubs were discovered in a dilapidated state. They are very dehydrated and severely emaciated. They were a family that was lost and never fully nourished.
The poor mother was in a panic because she couldn’t feed her baby. It’s incredibly dramatic and upsetting. A kind Samaritan walked in and tried to help the poor family. She gave them some food and took them to the vet.
The vet was surprised but she knew she could help them. She gave the mother IV fluids and supplements. The mother dog was so weak she couldn’t even stand up. They need time and adequate nursing care for rehabilitation.
They used to live in the shadow of the remnants. But now this wonderful family will be cared for and loved for the rest of their lives. They have a great diet and their foster mother gives them what they need. They heal every day.
After only 3 months of careful care, she has gained weight and is now healthy. Her puppy is also growing up in excellent health. Thanks to Abrigo Animais Aumigos and everyone for making it happen.

Normal Mother Dog Behavior After Giving Birth
If your dog just gave birth uneventfully, you may be breathing a big sigh of relief, because you think the worst has passed. The puppies are suckling strongly, and mom eats, drinks, and takes care of the puppies as she should. But your new mom and pups are not completely out of the woods yet.
Complications may occur hours or days after the pups’ birth, and sometimes they happen rather quickly, leaving little time to intervene. You have to continue to observe the mom and pups and care for them after delivery.
