On a sunlit day in a remote area of Sri Lanka’s countryside, the wildlife department was alerted to a distressing situation.
A young adult elephant had become entangled in a wire deep within the dense jungle. As they geared up for the rescue operation, their primary objective was to quietly approach the elephant from behind, aiming to avoid causing any panic or alarm.
The situation is far worse than what they imagined. The team is trying there to save the elephant. It is impossible to perform surgery-related procedures in such rural areas.
