A Mother of Three Proudly Displays Her Pregnant Belly and Shares the 42-Hour Labor Journey Eliciting Sympathy from Many

Michella, from Copenhagen, Denmark, gave birth to her triplets by ᴄᴀᴇsᴀʀᴇᴀɴ sᴇᴄtɪᴏɴ when she was just over 35 weeks pregnant. The new mom already had two daughters when she became pregnant for the third time, and she didn’t hesitate to share with her 260,000 Instagramfollowers the wonderful but also difficult journey of carrying triplets.

“The birth of the triplets was the wildest 36 hours of my life”  The influencer said she would like to “curl up in a corner and cry about how unimaginable this all seemed to her.” In a video she posted the night before she gave birth to her triplets, which has garnered thousands of likes and comments, she admitted she was “scared like crazy”.

She said: “It feels so surreal preparing to welcome three babies and I feel like I can’t handle it all. I just can’t imagine it. I have bad thoughts. I can do it, Will they succeed? But luckily, I know that the only thing that matters to me is that my babies will be born tomorrow. And on that, I can say we succeeded. I kept them for over 35 weeks. And now we really can’t do more than hope for the best.”She also revealed that her doctors had discovered that ʙʟᴏᴏᴅ had accumulated in her uterus, which her body was unable to expel, increasing the ʀɪsᴋ of ɪɴꜰʟᴀᴍᴍᴀtɪᴏɴ and that she now plans to undergo a ᴄᴜʀᴇttᴀɢᴇ.

In the end, Michella said it was all “worth it” and her heart is “about to break with happiness and love” for her triplets. “There is an emptiness in my belly, but my heart and my hands have never been so full of love and happiness,” she wrote on Instagram. “My boys are amazing. That’s about how I can sum it up. It’s peaceful and we’re totally in love.”

In a post she shared 10 days after giving birth, Michella opened up about her post-baby body and admitted that although her belly has “shrunk significantly,” she still feels very uncomfortable. “It’s already shrunk significantly, but it’s heavy and incredibly painful,” she explained. “C-sᴇᴄtɪᴏɴs are not uncomfortable unless I have to cough, sneeze or (God forbid) throw up. But my bowels are rolling in this big belly, which is uncomfortable and ᴘᴀɪɴꜰᴜʟ. My uterus is just under the skin and is extremely sensitive – the slightest touch bothers me. And for the past few days, my stomach looks like aig black mark. It hurts even when I breathe.”

What is it like to raise 5 children? She also talked about the struggles of raising five children at once. “Oh, you have no idea how much I’ve cried, how torn I’ve felt, how tired and how much I’ve given up over the last few days,” she shared on Instagram. “It is indescribably difficult to have two three-year-olds and three premature babies. Much harder than I had imagined.

My daughters are angry, incredibly bored and just plain unruly and rude. They miss us and certainly feel disappointed to some extent. And it’s completely understandable. So I am torn between two completely different sets of children and two different needs. I want to go home to my girls, give them love and security. But I also want to give my boys the best start in life and myself the best start in breastfeeding. These cannot be done at the same time.”
