Kevin Hart’s ’69 Road Runner wins Goodguys 2022 Muscle Machine of the Year

Goodguys announced the winning custom builders in eight categories for its 2022 award season with actor and comedian Kevin Hart’s 1969 Plymouth Road Runner built by Salvaggio Designs winning Muscle Machine of the Year.

Kevin Hart’s 1969 Plymouth Road Runner was selected out of eight finalists. The winner was selected from the 2022 Del Mar Nationals based on high-level performance modifications including handling, stance, engineering and body and paint to a vintage 1960-1997 muscle car.

Hart’s request to Salvaggio Designs for the Road Runner project was simple, “Build me a street machine that is timeless and innovative.” Dane Salvaggio took this request to heart and built a Mopar with a Michael Myers Halloween vibe throughout.

Finished in black over a black with orange trim interior, this Road Runner is powered by a 426cid Hemi with a Whipple supercharger and a Holley Dominator EFI set up. The engine is paired with a manual transmission.

The finalists were selected from among eligible qualifiers at 2022 Goodguys events throughout the U.S., and then voted on by a committee of industry experts and Goodguys staff members.
