Rescue Pup Can’t Stop Wagging Her Tail In Excitement As She Finally Leaves Shelter

This little pit bull hadn’t had an easy life. However, one day her life was completely turned around when she found herself a loving family.

When Matilda was brought to Douglas County Animal Shelter, she was in a dangerous medical condition. Yet, her tail never stopped wagging.

Santina Sanders, a volunteer at Douglas County Animal Shelter, posted this video of Matilda on Facebook:

“She gave the sweetest kisses. She was the cutest thing ever,” said Sanders.

However, it was not just Santina impressed by Matilda’s happiness. The rescue group Pibbles & More Animal Rescue also fell in love with her.

One of the Pibbles & More coordinators, Teresa Bowles-Chiofalo, decided to take Matilda to a foster home.

“The dictionary definition of ‘joy’ is: ‘noun: a feeling of great pleasure and happiness. This is the picture next to that definition in the dictionary. Matilda. She is pure, pure joy,” Pibbles & More Animal Rescue wrote on their Facebook page.

Matilda shortly became loved by everyone at the foster home, including Kerrie Rich:

“She wags her tail so hard that she walks crooked”

Although she was the happiest dog that people had ever seen, there was one thing Matilda did not like – and that was collars.

Kerrie tried Matilda with one, but the second it was on her tail stopped wagging for the first time ever! The foster family then figured out the puppy’s skin was still irritated, as she was not completely healed yet from her previous health condition.

Except for collars, Matilda’s tail really does wag at everything in her foster home.

She loves napping, playing with the other puppies, and helping her human foster brother with his homework

“She’s hilarious, and I wish I could video everything, But as soon as I pick up my phone, she runs right at me!” said Rich.
